Testimonials
This summer, I had the amazing opportunity to work with Dr. Rachel Jantea on a project in the ACE Unit dedicated to preventing delirium. It has been a truly rewarding experience, as I have witnessed firsthand the significant impact delirium prevention can have on the patients being cared for by the ACE Unit team. Delirium is a common, yet preventable, obstacle for many in the geriatric population, especially to maintain overall health and quality of life. Through this project, our goal is to preserve the patient's mental cognition and reduce the occurrence of hospital-acquired delirium. I hope this important work continues to make a positive difference.
Sincerely,
Raia Khan
This summer I have been working on a project develop an inter-professional, individualized, age-friendly dementia care plan to improve quality of care for persons living with dementia in the acute and transitional care settings. To better help formulate this, we plan to distribute a needs assessment survey to healthcare providers, our patients, and their caregivers. I've had a great experience working on this project and I am very blessed to be working with Dr. Jantea, who genuinely commits to nurturing our professional growth. Having the opportunity to work on this project has had profound significance for me as I have seen loved ones struggle with dementia. I am extremely grateful to be able to contribute to helping improve the overall quality dementia care of our patients.
Sincerely,
Fernando Sosa MS2
