Billing & Insurance

Your first appointment with a Student Counseling Services provider is complimentary. Subsequent visits are billed through your insurance provider. We accept most major insurance plans, but always check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage. In checking with your insurance provider, you will need to know if you have “in-network benefits” or “out-of-network benefits” with your provider, as well as any information on copayments, deductibles, and coinsurance amounts.

If You Need Health Insurance

Consider the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) with Academic HealthPlans underwritten by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. The Student Health Insurance Plan gives you access to a broad Participating Provider Option (PPO) from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas and provides affordable, quality coverage whether you are at school, home, or traveling abroad. Notably, if you receive your care at the Student Health Clinic and have the Student Health Insurance Plan—your deductible is waived and benefits are paid at 100% of Covered Expenses.
