About the Program

The Implementation Research Pilot Award program annually awards two grants of up to $25,000 to be used as pilot funding initiatives that support research studies that address barriers to the adoption, adaptation, integration, scale-up, and sustainability of evidence-based interventions, tools, policies, and guidelines. This opportunity supports projects that address how to move proven approaches into practice more effectively across diverse settings. The Pilot Award mechanism offers seed money to support pilot and proof-of-concept projects leading to the development of larger implementation science proposals for extramural funding opportunities.  Projects should have strong potential for converting to larger research grant proposals. Proposals from all CCTS regional partner institutions (UTHealth Houston, UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, UT Tyler Health Science Center, UT Rio Grande Valley, Rice University, Texas Tech Health El Paso) are encouraged.
