Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Amy Abraham is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who provides care across the lifespan. She earned her undergraduate degree in neuroscience from The University of Texas at San Antonio, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Permian Basin, and her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Since graduating in 2019, Abraham has gained extensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She has served in her current role at the John S. Dunn Behavioral Sciences Center at UTHealth Houston since November 2022.

She specializes in treating children and adolescents with ADHD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, and catatonia, as well as adults with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance-related mood concerns, and other psychiatric conditions. Abraham is passionate about reaching anyone in need of support and ensuring access to the right care and resources. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, volunteering for nonprofit organizations, traveling, and exploring new cultures and cuisines.
