Fiona Smith Recognized with 2026 AMWF Research Grant for Work on Stroke Care in Latino Communities

Fiona Smith, RN and PhD candidate at UTHealth School of Nursing, has been awarded the 2026 AGNES Marshall Walker Foundation (AMWF) Research Grant. Her proposal, “Emergency Care Seeking for Stroke and the Influence of Latino Sociocultural Factors,” highlights an important area of research in stroke care.
