Music & Medicine: A Live Performance with Jazz & Classical Pianist, Adam Ivey
Event Description
Join us for a live Arts & Resilience performance, featuring acclaimed pianist Adam Ivey. Ivey is a classically trained pianist, composer, and arranger from Oakland, California. Born deaf in his left ear, he regained hearing after a procedure at age three. He discovered his musical talent at age six during a free piano lesson, and by seven, he was performing regularly at his church. He went on to earn top classical awards through the National Association of Negro Musicians. The performance will be in-person at McGovern Medical School and live-streamed via Zoom. Register for Zoom via the event link; registration is not required for in-person attendance.Event Site Link
