TEPHI Grand Rounds | Hepatitis B and Recent Updates in Pediatric Immunization Schedules

Event Description

In this upcoming Grand Rounds, Catherine Troisi, PhD, will review recent updates to the pediatric immunization schedule, with particular focus on hepatitis B vaccination. She will discuss the evolving epidemiologic trends, updated recommendations, and implications for clinical practice. Troisi will also address common questions and challenges related to vaccine timing, special populations, and implementation in pediatric care settings.

Troisi is a professor in the departments of Management, Policy, and Community Health, and Epidemiology at the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. Her work focuses on infectious disease epidemiology, community and population health, and public health leadership. She is co-editor of the Control of Communicable Diseases Manual, serves as chair-elect of the International Network of Epidemiology in Policy and participates in numerous local and state public health advisory boards.
