Advancing Public Health with Satellite Data: Spatiotemporal Approach for Environmental Monitoring and Action

Event Description

Earth-observing satellites provide critical information for understanding environmental exposures and their impacts on public health across spatial and temporal scales. By integrating satellite observations with in situ measurements, airborne campaigns, and advanced analytical methods, applied Earth science can support air quality management, public health surveillance, and evidence-based decision-making. This seminar brings together leaders from NASA’s Health and Air Quality Applications program and a leading academic researcher to highlight how satellite data are being translated into actionable insights for monitoring air pollution, wildfire smoke, and emerging environmental health risks. Please RSVP, linked below. Coffee and Lights Snacks Provided. All are welcome to this free event.
