Topic: First Detection of Xylazine in Texas Wastewater and Its Association with Fentanyl Use Guest Speaker: Katherine Joseph, MPH - EOHS PHD candidate Katherine Joseph is a third year PhD candidate in the EOHS department. Raised in Tyler, TX she received her undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in biomedical engineering and an MPH from George Washington University. Before coming to SPH, she worked in orthopedic research at Emory University and in COVID-19 testing at her alma mater. She currently conducts research on wastewater surveillance in Dr. Fuqing Wu's lab.
