Optimizing the Health of Cancer Patients and Survivors by Targeting the Biology and Heterogeneity of Aging
Event Description
Please join the McGovern Medical School Research Committee on Tuesday on April 14th for an important interdisciplinary discussion on Cancer and Aging Research. The workshop aims to explore the biological mechanisms underlying aging and cancer, with a focus on identifying shared pathways and potential therapeutic targets. It will address the heterogeneity observed in both aging and cancer by examining the roles of genetic, epigenetic, and environmental factors in shaping patient outcomes. Additionally, the workshop seeks to promote translational research by bridging the gap between basic scientific discoveries and clinical applications, fostering the development of innovative treatments and interventions. Finally, it will provide a platform to encourage collaboration and networking.Event Site Link
