Scholarships for Current SBMI Students

For the 2012-2013 academic year , six competitive $1,200 merit based scholarships are available for SBMI students from the Doris Ross Merit Based Scholarship and President James T. and Nancy Beamer Willerson Endowed Scholarship. Students must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program at SBMI and in good standing. 

Considerations include:

            • Grade Point Average

            • Pattern of academic achievement

            • Success in overcoming socioeconomic or educational disadvantages

            • Previous and recent publication in the discipline

To apply, please submit (1) a letter that includes a statement of your Biomedical/Health Informatics goals and address the considerations listed above; and (2) a recommendation letter from members of the student’s Faculty Advising  Committee,  to, by September 7, 2012. All submissions must be electronic. Paper submissions will not be accepted. The submitted documents should be in word format with the student's name in the filenames. A faculty Scholarship and Awards Committee recommends the recipients for the scholarships to the Dean.
