HI 7150 Research Seminar
Required for doctoral students. Must be repeated for a total of 3 hours of credit.
Description
In this course, students will need to 1) "attend" 80% of the seminar talks for the semester they enroll. Students can view the talks online if they cannot attend in person, but they are required to fill out the seminar evaluation; and 2) present a seminar for every semester that they elect the course for credit. Each student seminar must be supervised by a faculty member (not necessarily the student's advisor). The faculty member must work with the student to ensure that the seminar is appropriate and interesting for the audience. The faculty member must be present when the student presents and must introduce the student speaker.
The schedule of seminars with a link to the evaluation survey is available online at http://www.uthouston.edu/sbmi/research/research-seminars.htm.
