HI 5354 Cognitive Engineering in Health Informatics I
This course focuses on cognitive engineering issues in designing user-centered systems. The course emphasizes how human cognitive abilities and limitations impose requirements on the design of effective interfaces. It covers the theory and practical application of several cognitive engineering techniques and tools.

After completing this course, students should be able to:
- Describe the main theories of human psychology of perception, cognition, and action.
- Use knowledge of human psychology to guide design of artifacts in such a way as to
enhance human performance.
