Center for Computational Biomedicine Postdoc Position
Position Description:
A number of postdoctoral research fellow positions are available in the Center for Computational Biomedicine at the UTHealth School of Biomedical Informatics at Houston. Candidates will be expected to work on federal and state-funded projects to develop novel methods in clinical natural language processing, text mining and data mining, and apply these methods to clinical and translational research based on Electronic Health Records data, such as epidemiological and genomic studies related to drugs and cancers. The positions are available immediately.
Applicants must have one of the following to be considered:
- PhD in computer science, information science, library science or a related field with research experience in NLP/TM
- PhD in bioinformatics, medical informatics or a related field
- MD or PhD in biomedical related fields (e.g. Epidemiology or Biology) with significant informatics training/experience.
Salary: NIH post-doc salary scale
