UTHealth School of Dentistry to host Time Capsule II Packing Party
HOUSTON – (Dec. 3, 2012) — Following September’s reveal of a 1954 time capsule, The University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHealth) School of Dentistry plans to fill and seal a new time capsule to mark 2012 as a special year in the school’s history. John A. Valenza, D.D.S., dean of the UTHealth School of Dentistry, and Student Council President Patricia Tan invite participants to witness items as they go into the capsule, learn how they were selected, see who won awards for the items they suggested, and be part of history by signing an archival scroll and being in a commemorative photo to be taken at the ceremony.
WHAT: Time Capsule II: 2012 Packing Party - The ceremonial packing of the 2012 time capsule to be stored in the new UTHealth School of Dentistry building, which opened earlier this year, and remain unopened for at least 50 years.
WHEN: Wednesday, Dec. 5 from noon until 1 p.m.
