Meredith, who supervises media relations activities at UTHealth, can assist reporters with news in any of the university's schools, centers or clinics. A former newspaper reporter, Meredith has been a member of the Media Relations Team since January 2001.

Rob is your contact for news about advances in medical research and patient care. He can arrange interviews with scientists in genetics, nanotechnology, biomedical informatics and other fields of medicine. He can also put you in touch with clinicians in the areas of surgery and internal medicine. He formerly served as a daily newspaper reporter at the Laredo News and San Antonio Light. He has a master’s degree in communications and was twice named Communicator of the Year by the Houston Press Club.

Deborah is your media relations contact for stories on groundbreaking research, clinical care and education at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, a part of UTHealth. She leads publicity efforts for news in pediatrics, women’s health, cardiology, neurology, geriatrics, psychiatry and behavioral sciences. Deborah, an award-winning journalist, spent two decades writing for Texas newspapers including The Houston Post and the Houston Chronicle, where she was a correspondent for its weekly "Health/Medicine" page.

Jade is your first point of contact for news at The University of Texas School of Public Health and its regional campuses in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Brownsville and El Paso. She also leads publicity efforts for news in the areas of emergency medicine, otorhinolaryngology and dentistry. Jade is a 2008 graduate of Hampton University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in public relations. She gained experience in public affairs, marketing and promotions during her four years as an intern scholar at the Emma L. Bowen Foundation for Minority Interests in Media.

As a valued member of the staff for almost a decade, Sheila manages the tracking and reporting of UTHealth’s media placements, serves as the liaison for vendors and assists with a variety of other Media Relations Team activities.  In addition, Sheila, who has years of experience in business administration, supports essential work in other areas of the office and coordinates community relations events for the President’s Office.
