1)  All documents related to the “external market study” that was “performed supporting this compensation level” ($2 million) for Dr. Ramesh Hariharan in the January 22, 2013 mail from Ana Touchstone to Patty Culler and Janet Cole entitled “FW: update on the over $1 million doctor on our February Consent Agenda”  (copy of the document in “PIR 2.05.14 - Item 3” is attached).

2)  The documentation referred to in the sentence “U.T. Health Science Center-Houston has determined and documented that the level of compensation for Dr. Hariharin is at a level paid to similarly qualified people based on performance of comparable duties in the organization and in the market from which his position would normally be recruited” listed as “Docket-1” under “Appointment - U.H. Health Science Center -Houston: Amendment to the 2012-13 budget" (copy of the document in “PIR 2.05.14 - Item 3” is attached).
 
3)  The documentation referred to in the sentence “U.T. Health Science Center-Houston has determined and documented that the level of compensation for Dr. Kreuzer is at a level paid to similarly qualified people based on performance comparable duties in the organization and in the market from which his position would normally be recruited” in item #67 on page 229 of the “meeting to he U.T. System Board of Regents - Consent Agenda November 2012” email from Carol Felkel to Gail Nettles on November 16, 2012  (copy of the document in “PIR 2.05.14 - Item 3” is attached). The level of compensation in question was $1.2 million according to this document.
 
3)  All Institutional Conflict of Interest Management Plans for Dr. Stefan W. Kreuzer since his hire to UTHSC-H.

I am requesting copies of the technology transfer agreements that were executed by the UT Health Science Center at Houston during the calendar year of 2013, documentation regarding the royalties or other payments received by the university for those technology transfer agreements. This request includes both license and options agreements for intellectually property owned by or assigned to the UT Health Science Center at Houston. This request is not including material transfer agreements, or licenses whose primary intellectual property is a trademark.

More specifically I am requesting information within each contract or agreement that relates to:

  • a description of the technology being licensed or sold,
  • the developmental stage of the technology at the time of the license/agreement,
  • the stage of the IP surrounding the technology at the time of the license/agreement (provisional patents, issued patents, US patents, PCT filings, patents in other countries),
  • patent numbers or patent application numbers,
  • terms of the contract/agreement (including but not limited to royalties, payments other than royalties including but not limited to equity and cash payments, the ownership retained by the university and licensee, and milestones), and
  • the Name of the licensee.
