BioInformatics Service Center

Texas Medical Center faculty and surrounding area physicians conduct many clinical, subclinical, and basic research studies that will benefit from experts in biostatistics, bio-informatics, pathways analysis, metabonomics, genomics, and proteomics analysis. This Service Center can provide statistical analysis of data, archival of results, and aid in research design and grant writing.  Typical analysis will include: data scaling, corrections for multiple hypothesis testing, clustering techniques, principle components analysis (PCA), analysis of variance (Anova), ROC, and CART.  We will help elucidate the maximum results out of the data while providing statistical safeguards to minimize the publication of type-I errors.

The Center  will provide more complicated pathway analysis techniques to help investigators connect experimental observations to specific biological pathways. Such analysis would be appropriate for proteomics, microarray, genomics, kinomics, and metabonomics data
