House Medics

Spring 2012

About Us:

UT House Medics is a team of volunteers who make the elderly citizens of Houston feel special. We scrape and paint their homes, beautify landscaping, replace windows and doors, build wheelchair ramps, and so much more. As a volunteer, one of the best feelings is when our homeowner sees their new home!

We partner with Houston's largest community outreach organization called 'Rebuilding Together - Houston'(RTH). RTH works to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize neighborhoods. They do this by providing home repair and renovation services at no cost to low-income homeowners in need, specifically the elderly, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and people impacted by natural disasters.

  • About The Homeowner and House

    • The Project Took Place In March 2012 but we're BACK TO APRIL for 2013.

    We found some committed volunteers to refurbish a home for one of our own low-income senior citizens

    You came out and joined your co-workers for a day of volunteering. Our hearts swelled with joy seeing how happy she was at the end of the project. This was a great way for our children and young adults to get volunteer experience and credit hours. There was something for everyone.
