Thursday, September 8This course is required for every GSBS student who plans to work in a laboratory. The eight-hour course will be coordinated by the Health Science Center's Department of Environmental Health and Safety. Course Outline. After satisfactory completion of the course, you will receive a certificate that is necessary to work in a laboratory in which sources of hazardous chemicals, infectious agents, or radiation are used. Please also note that if the level of these agents is expected to be high in a particular lab, you may also be required to obtain a personal monitoring device.
