The ideal choice for Education and Training in the Biomedical Sciences.
The University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston (GSBS) is a joint venture of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center that offers Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in many areas of study. Dedicated to the highest level of education and research, its faculty, classrooms, and laboratories are drawn from two major institutions: UTHealth and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, with additional faculty and resources drawn from the Texas A&M University Health Science Center's Institute of Biosciences and Technology in Houston.
GSBS students have achieved outstanding recognition in the biomedical sciences by publishing their research in high impact journals, presenting their work at local, national and international scientific meetings and by winning numerous scholarships and awards. Beyond these achievements, GSBS students have the opportunity to interact with leaders in their field through seminar, workshops and social events. Students also have access to a variety of career-enhancement events that are designed to supplement coursework and laboratory training, thus ensuring future career success.
