Admissions

Students interested in pursuing a M.S., Specialized M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences apply to the Graduate School using the application for admission. Recommended undergraduate coursework to prepare a Ph.D. applicant for graduate studies includes basic courses in Biology, Physics, Calculus and Biochemistry.

The application procedure requires completion of the application form, including a personal statement, the scores of the GRE general test, transcripts from all institutions at which course work was completed, and at least three letters of recommendation. On the application, students are asked to identify areas of study in which they are interested. Graduate School Faculty in each of the identified areas review the completed application and make recommendations to the Admissions Committee.

All applicants admitted to the Ph.D. degree course of study are awarded a stipend, including health care benefits. The cost of tuition and fees is included in the package offered to admitted students.
