Department of Radiation Physics
Research Interests:
- Proton therapy
- Treatment plan optimization and evaluation
- Radiobiological modeling
- Clinical trials
My primary interest is the field of proton beam radiotherapy. This includes the calibration and characterization of proton beams, optimization of treatment planning techniques, developing an understanding of the radiobiological issues associated with proton therapy, and acquisition of clinical data through trials.
A student will gain experience with proton therapy treatment planning and delivery, and an understanding of the radiobiological uncertainties associated with proton therapy.
