Research Interests:
- Clinical application of protons
- Clinical trials
- Information management
- Calibration of radiation beams
My primary research interest is the application of proton beams in therapeutic radiology. This is a major project. Elements of this project include calibration of the proton beam, development of a dosimetry system for proton beams, operation of the proton beam delivery system, daily and periodic QA of the system, patient specific QA, modeling of the proton beam in the treatment planning system as compared to the measurement of the proton beam, the interaction of the proton beam in the heterogeneous environment, and the electronic medical record as it pertains to the delivery of proton therapy.
