GS14 1072 Seminar in Molecular Neuroscience
Bean, Andrew. Two semester hours. Fall, Spring and Summer, annually. Prerequisite: none.
This course will cover a variety of topics in Molecular Neuroscience. Each semester will emphasize a particular area. Examples of topic areas include development, receptor trafficking, neurotransmitter secretion, olfaction, and synaptic transmission. The objectives of the course are to enhance presentation, hypothesis generation, and proposal writing skills. Weekly meetings (2 hours) will have both faculty and student presentations drawn from primary literature. Students will be given feedback on their presentation content and style. This course can be taken multiple times during a student's graduate career.
