GS04 1181 The Molecular Basis of Programmed Cell Death
McDonnell, Timothy. One semester hour. Fall annually. Prerequisite: Biochemistry (GS03 1014) and Cancer Cell Signaling (GS04 1133)
This course will examine the process of programmed cell death, or apoptosis. Details regarding the molecular regulation and biochemical mechanisms of apoptosis will be discussed. The relevance of apoptotic cell death to normal development, carcinogenesis and cancer treatment, and other disease states will be demonstrated.
