GSBS student Brady receives National Research Service Award from NIH

The University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences would like to congratulate Samuel Brady on receiving the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award for Individual Predoctoral Fellows from the National Institutes of Health. Brady, who is in his third year of study with the Cancer Biology Program, will receive stipend support of up to $22,000 from the award. His advisor is Dr. Dihua Yu.

The award is named after Ruth L. Kirschstein, an icon at the NIH whose scientific and administrative public service career that spanned more than half a century. Kirschstein made history as the first woman to direct the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS).
