GSBS faculty member Milewicz elected to AAMC committee

GSBS faculty member Dianna Milewicz, M.D., Ph.D., was elected as Chair-elect of Graduate Research, Education and Training (GREAT) Group – Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Steering Committee, M.D.-Ph.D. Section in September. The objective of this group is the promotion of quality Ph.D. and postdoctoral education in biomedical science. Membership in the GREAT Group includes the faculty and administrative leaders of the Ph.D. and postdoctoral education programs conducted under the auspices of accredited U.S. and Canadian medical schools.

Milewicz is affiliated with the program in Human and Molecular Genetics, the program in Cell and Regulatory Biology and the MD/PhD Program. She is being honored by BioHouston at its upcoming Fourth Annual Lunch Celebrating Women in Science on November 14. ( BioHouston is the hub where academic and research institutions connect with life science companies and service providers to build successful companies and products that save and improve lives.)
