How Your Gifts Have Helped UTHealth
This year we are celebrating our 40th anniversary. When we look back at what was possible forty years ago—and certainly what was possible in our grandparents’ day—we see the strides that have been made here at UTHealth in improving the quality of life and increasing our health options. Our many achievements include changing the paradigm for stroke treatment, reducing death and disability for countless patients, and measuring the severity of coronary artery disease with PET imaging, improving patient survival rate. UTHealth School of Nursing continues to place in the Top Five Percent of U.S. nursing graduate schools, and UTHealth School of Public Health implemented CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Child Health), one of the most successful initiatives in the fight against childhood obesity. We are proud of UTHealth’s contributions to these advances for the betterment of human health. They are our donors’ achievements as well, because all gifts to the annual fund touch the lives of patients and health professionals alike.
