The Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic & Research Affairs is pleased to introduce the twentieth edition of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston’s (UTHealth) annual Fact Book.

Data, where appropriate, align with:

• The university’s Annual Financial Report;
• Certified Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board reports (enrollment, degrees conferred, faculty, medical residents);
• Performance Measures reported to the Legislative Budget Board; and/or
• Other State and UT System required reports (financial aid, research expenditures, facilities, philanthropy)

Most tables portray FY 2012 data, which covers the period of September 1, 2011 – August 31, 2012. Enrollment and Employee figures are as of October 2012 and organization charts are current as of press time. Table titles will indicate the date(s) covered.
