Construction Begins on UTHealth’s New Conference Center
Special events and continuing education courses will have a new venue by 2012 on the south campus of the Texas Medical Center when The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) completes a conference center adjacent to the new dental school building at 7500 Cambridge St.
Current plans call for a 14,000-square-foot “Faculty Life Center” that will connect directly to the new UTHealth Dental Branch building on the north side. The conference center will seat up to 400 people in one fully open room, with movable partitions to divide the space into six rooms equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology.
A new conference center is under construction adjacent to the new dental school building at Cambridge Street and East Road.
