The second annual Michael and Susan Dell Lectureship

The second annual Michael & Susan Dell Lectureship in Child Health, held in Austin April 10-11, brought in 210 attendees, including Texas State Sen. Leticia Van De Putte. During the event, William "Bill" H. Dietz, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity Prevention in the Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), met with Dell Center investigators, staff and community members. He also presented the talk, "What Can We Do to Address the Epidemic of Childhood Obesity?" The Michael & Susan Dell Center for Advancement of Healthy Living and The University of Texas School of Public Health (SPH), Austin Regional Campus sponsored the lectureship. At left, Deanna M.
