Stroke Survivors Conference

A day-long conference, "Surviving Stroke: The Journey Toward Wellness," will be hosted on Friday, March 23, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. by The University of Texas School of Nursing at Houston's Center on Aging.

The conference, which will include an update on stroke, strategies for living with stroke, pain management and rehabilitation, is designed for stroke survivors, their families and the health-care professionals who work with them. The location is the United Way, 50 Waugh Drive at Feagan Street, a handicapped- accessible building, with free parking.

James C. Grotta, M.D., professor of neurology and director of the Stroke Program at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, and Sally Davis, clinical nurse specialist with the Center on Aging, will speak.
