Guest-Account

Setting up a Guest Account for access to iRIS for conducting research at UTHealth.

Step 1 - Identify a sponsor. In order to apply for a guest account, an individual needs to be sponsored by someone who is an Administrative or Management A&P (Administrative and Professional) employee that works at UTHealth. Memorial Hermann people should contact Eleonora Balibalita in the MHHS Research Office at 713-704-3430 or Eleonora.Balibalita@memorialhermann.org.

Step 2Security Awareness Training.  All guest users are now required to review the UTHealth Guest Information Security Awareness Information sheet located at https://www.uth.edu/it/forms/UTHealth-Guest-Security-Awareness.pdf.  This training takes less than five (5) minutes.

Step 3 – Guest Account Setup.  The sponsor will initiate the process by sending you an invitation (https://apps.uth.edu/guest/) which will send you an e-mail instructing you to complete an online form.  The form will guide you through the process.

After you receive your UTHealth Userid, you will be asked to set up your password and password recovery information.

Step 4Forwarding emails from UTHealth to your personal email account.  If you would like your emails forwarded to a personal email account, send an e-mail to Barbara Legate at Barbara.S.Legate@uth.tmc.edu
